From Highway 80 Westbound: Take the Hwy 49 exit. Go back over the freeway (east). When the road "T"s, stay in the right lane and turn right on Lincoln Ave. Continue on till you come to an intersection with a light and the Courthouse in front of you. Turn LEFT here onto Auburn-Folsom road. Continue several blocks. At HIGH ST, turn LEFT This takes you to the fairgrounds main entrance- a stone entry on the right, a few blocks up. The show is being held in the PLACER BUILDING- which is straight ahead (stay right at the "y") and on the left. There is LIMITED parking here. You may need to drive in to unload, then move your car to the upper parking lot. We will make every effort to help those who need it- shuttling you to your car, helping you unload etc. If you plan to stay all day including taking our lunch on site, please plan of leaving your car in the upper parking lot. The Fairgrounds has other events and a museum next to our venue, and respectfully request that we leave those parking spaces available for their guests. Check in will be in the portico of the Placer Building.
| From Highway 80 Eastbound: Take the Auburn/Maple Street exit. You will be immediately on a surface street so be cautious! Proceed up the hill (don't turn off anywhere). You will go by the old Courthouse and come to an intersection. The road curves around to the right. This will be Auburn-Folsom Rd. Continue several blocks. At HIGH ST, turn LEFT. This takes you to the fairgrounds main entrance- a stone entry a few blocks up on the right.. The show is being held in the PLACER BUILDING- which is straight ahead (stay right at the "y") and on the left. There is LIMITED parking here. | LODGING: |
The closest facility to the fairgrounds will be the new Holiday Inn on Hwy 49/Grass Valley Hwy in Auburn. It is right off the freeway and just behind an In-N-Out burger. They offer AAA discounts. Their ph# is 1-800-814-8787 or 1-530-887-8787.
Other alternatives that will be less costly and only a mile or so up the freeway (that is, east on Hwy 80 to the Foresthill Exit) include:

FOOD
We will be offering on-site lunches each day. We will have Deli sandwiches, chips and drinks available (choose at the time of service). If this is an option you would like to take, please sign up early so I can plan accordingly.
The building does not have vending machines, but we have a snack bar available with various snacks and drinks throughout the day. Coffee will be available in the morning for those of us that need the jump start!
There is an In-N-Out burger just in front of the Holiday Inn. The next exit up the Highway, the Elm St exit, has a Taco Bell, a deli, and several other options available. I believe there is also a Del Taco (or similar Taco joint) just outside the Fairgrounds entrance if you proceed up High street.
